Urban Archive connects people, places, and cultural institutions so that the public can learn about history where it happened. Rather than reinvent mapping tools that are difficult to maintain with changing technologies, join the Urban Archive platform, where our engaged users come to learn about the world around them and discover the rich cultural history of local archives.
How it works
For a one-time fee, cultural institutions can add their mappable, digitized archives to Urban Archive. After that, collections and stories live on the platform permanently—free of charge—ensuring they remain accessible to the public. All partners enjoy:

First-time partners receive additional support from Urban Archive for one year. You’ll get access to our best storytelling practices, hands-on marketing and advertising support, and our team’s creative problem solving and fundraising efforts. Our goal is to give your incredible collections the best chance to reach new audiences and inform the public. Here’s some of the good stuff you’ll get during your first year:

At the end of the year, we offer continued hands-on support from the Urban Archive team for a membership fee. If you don’t have the budget at this time, that’s no problem. Your collections and stories will live on, and you can renew any time you have a special project to promote, a grant to cover the cost, or simply the need to outsource impactful marketing work to us!
Pricing
The one-time fee depends on the size of your organization and the complexity of your collections. It starts at $5,000 for collections import + one year of membership.
